Duke MedLink: The quickest way to refer a patient

Specialty Referrals

Duke Behavioral Health North Durham features a team of resident psychiatrists supervised by attending doctors, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and clinical social workers who work with patients to address a wide range of psychiatric and emotional challenges. To refer a patient or if you have questions about a referral, please call 919-684-0100.

Interventional Psychiatry (TMS or ECT) Referral: If you are referring a patient for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) or Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), fax a completed Duke Electroconvulsive Therapy Referral Form (PDF) along with medical records to 919-668-2595. Please indicate on the form whether the preference is for TMS, ECT, or no preference.

Providers can submit referrals through Duke MedLink or complete this Duke Rheumatology Referral Form (PDF) with all pertinent clinic notes, labs, imaging reports, and pathology reports and fax to the Duke Rheumatology Access Center at 919-684-0761.

Please Note: Duke Rheumatology will not schedule referrals for diagnoses of chronic pain, fibromyalgia, or hypermobility syndromes/Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Osteoarthritis will be seen for one-time referral. Chronic fatigue may not be scheduled depending on availability.
