If you are a referring physician or health care professional, we can help you find the right people, programs and services for your patients. Depending on the specialty needed, appointments can be made within 24 to 72 hours.

Log in to Duke MedLink

Duke MedLink is your connection to our EMR system. Through this secure, web-based application, you will have quick and convenient read-only access to view your patients’ medical records, place orders and referrals, and send secure messages to Duke physicians. If you have accounts with other North Carolina hospitals who use EpicCare Link, you can log into one of those accounts and access your other instances through the Happy Together link.

The Duke Consultation and Referral Center can:

  • Put you in touch with a specific physician or service.
  • Select an appropriate Duke physician based on your patients' diagnosis.
  • Facilitate patient appointments.
  • Assist in obtaining follow-up information on patients recently seen at Duke.
  • Facilitate patient admissions.
  • Assist with requests for medical records, continuing education, information about Duke programs, services and clinical trials.

Fax an appointment request to the Duke Consultation and Referral Center at 919-479-2435. Please attach relevant medical records with your request.

Specialty Referrals

Duke Behavioral Health North Durham features a team of resident psychiatrists supervised by attending doctors, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and clinical social workers who work with patients to address a wide range of psychiatric and emotional challenges. To refer a patient or if you have questions about a referral, please call 919-684-0100.

Providers can submit referrals through Duke MedLink or complete this referral form with all pertinent clinic notes, labs, imaging reports, and pathology reports and fax to the Duke Rheumatology Access Center at 919-684-0761.

Please Note: Duke Rheumatology will not schedule referrals for diagnoses of chronic pain, fibromyalgia, or hypermobility syndromes/Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Osteoarthritis will be seen for one-time referral. Chronic fatigue may not be scheduled depending on availability.
