About Me

Learn More About Me

I am a plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in breast reconstruction, microsurgery and gender affirmation surgery. I am also a certified functional medicine provider. I aim to provide up-to-date, evidence-based medicine to every patient I treat. I enjoy discussing nutrition, stress, and wellness with each of my patients and how these factors can impact their surgical experience. Even though I am a surgeon, I always aim to treat the whole patient.

Clinical Focus and Research

My Research Interests

My main research interest is learning how interventions, such as nutrition, exercise and stress management, initiated before surgery can improve outcomes, minimize pain and optimize recovery. I address these topics with each of my patients pre-operatively. I am also interested in learning more about the microbiome, how it influences surgical outcomes, and how it can be modified before and after surgery.
