I listen to my patients' goals and concerns to create a treatment strategy that respects each patient's wishes. I focus on every detail of care to help achieve the best possible outcome, with a customized plan for each individual. I communicate in a straightforward manner to help my patients understand their condition and options. Outside of work, I enjoy riding my horses in jumping competitions across the country and volunteering at a therapeutic horseback riding program for people with traumatic injuries.
My research focuses on improving the quality and safety of care that patients receive in spine surgery. We are working to develop best practices and care pathways to minimize complications and improve outcomes for patients undergoing complex spine surgery.
