About Me

I have been practicing orthopaedic surgery at Duke for the last 38 years. My practice is currently limited to adults with foot and ankle conditions. I have special interests in athletic foot and ankle problems and ankle arthritis, replacement surgery. My foot and ankle team has grown over the years, and we have one of the largest team of experts in the United States dealing with these complex problems. I have a son who is an academic orthopaedic surgeon on the faculty at Washington University at St Louis and I have another son who is finishing residency in orthopaedic veterinary surgery. My wife and I hope he will return to the Carolinas.
