I am an orthopaedic surgeon in the hand division. I treat conditions from the fingertips all the way up to the shoulder and the entire upper extremity. I treat people with fractures, sports injuries, or tendon injuries, specifically conditions like arthritis, trigger finger, carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff injuries, and problems of the upper extremities. I chose orthopaedics from having injuries myself over the years, so I understand what patients are going through when they see me and treat them with as much compassion and respect as possible. The research here at Duke is second to none; the best minds are here in one area, all collaborating and trying to figure out how to get better. The most gratifying part of my job is to see patients get back to the level of activity where they would like to be.
