About Me
I have extensive experience working with people of diverse backgrounds, treating a variety of issues: mood disorders, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, interpersonal/relationship difficulties, emotion dysregulation, Borderline Personality Disorder, substance abuse, eating disorders, grief/loss, general life transitions and identity development.
I have specific expertise in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and was intensively trained in DBT through Behavioral Tech, LLC. DBT is a treatment that targets difficulties with emotion regulation and teaches specific skills to help individuals create a more fulfilling and meaningful life. This treatment resonates most with me due to the holistic and comprehensive approach it takes.
My style is fairly eclectic and focuses on evidence-based interventions to meet the needs of my patients. I strive to balance validation/acceptance with problem-solving and change. I use a nonjudgmental and collaborative approach to help individuals live in line with their own values, work towards their goals, and increase their overall sense of well-being.
Outside of work, I am pretty much always with my family, enjoying silly moments, and sharing new experiences together.
