My passion for physical therapy began in high school when I had the opportunity to observe the way the profession allows for an extended time with patients to truly develop relationships. I enjoy the opportunity to meet new individuals every day and work together to help them accomplish their goals over time. During my undergraduate experiences, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work for 3.5 years with the sports medicine staff for the College of William & Mary football team. During graduate school, I was able to have a broad range of experiences working with athletes as well as the recreationally active population. I have completed internships at EXOS in Frisco, Texas, working with athletes preparing for the NFL, and also with the Washington Redskins for a full season. In addition being a physical therapist, I am also an outreach athletic trainer covering various athletic events around the Durham area. In my time outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with family, running, hiking, and being outdoors.
