What I do spans from babies who have trouble with the hips to adolescents with scoliosis and everything in between. My area of greatest interest is scoliosis, which includes everything from children with early onset scoliosis through adolescents with scoliosis. I also take care of children with limb deformities, from children with one leg shorter than the other versus children with different conditions that can cause their limbs to bow or take a specific angle or deformity that we need to correct. With children, so much of what we do either can be treated without surgery or really requires a lot of observation over time to see how things develop. When I interact with a patient and their family, I try to really explain the process to them and the importance of follow-up visits. I also try to build a relationship with the child and the family, as many conditions require many years of working with them both.
