This brief accredited CME publication discusses the gap between current clinical evidence on biomarkers of diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) and the current trend of evaluating natural fertility in women seeking to plan pregnancy and assess the timing of menopause. It also reviews the limitations of ovarian reserve testing and key criteria for selecting patients for evaluation. Additionally, this activity features a short video that provides context for the issues that providers face regarding fertility and pregnancy planning in current practice and considerations for counseling patients.
